MODERN FASHION RULES

There is no day we don’t follow any fashion rule while styling as we are grown up hearing them and thus follow them unconsciously...But I would like to highlight few fashion rules that are very important to be followed as they help in building good fashion sense....

        TEN RULES TO FOLLOW

1.  IGNORE THE FASHION TREND AND STICK TO TIMELESS CLOTHING:-
My favourite quote says it all “In a world full of trends,I want to remain classic”....following trends doesn’t make one fashionable.

2.  LOOK OUT FOR QUALITY RATHER THAN QUANTITY OF CLOTHES:-
The quantity of clothes you have won’t make you a fashionista. You can have ten(10) clothes and people will still stare on you everyday with your outlook.

3.  NEVER WEAR BELT AND SUSPENDER AT THE SAME TIME:-
You can only do this if you are antique.......never and ever wear both together.Don’t be a disgrace to the fashion community.

4.  INVEST IN COLOURED SHOES FOR FUNKY LOOK:-
Believe me.....I got noticed with my coloured shoes. The first thing people will notice on your body consciously or unconsciously is your shoe...you have to up your shoe game

5.  COLOUR AND PATTERN IN A WHILE IS GREAT:-
You must surely have a pattern to the way you dress......as for me,I make sure the colour of the shirt I put on is same with my shoe or anything I put on matches with another material on me.

6.  OWN COUPLE OF SUNGLASSES IN DIFFERENT STYLES:-
God knows I don’t joke with my sunglasses and yes I own them in different styles.A guy walked up to me one day and said I don’t think people have seen your eye ball before.....I replied “that’s the spirit”

7.  HAVE A HABIT OF WEARING A GOOD BELT:-
This might not look real to you but a belt explains more about the personality of an individual....wearing torn belt will only expose your carefree fashion life

8.  ALWAYS WEAR A PERFECT FIT:-
Wearing clothes that doesn’t fit would bring harm to your looks.....no matter how beautiful the clothes you wearing are,if it doesn’t fit....no one will be entangle with your outfit

9.  DON’T WEAR VISIBLE BRAND NAMES:-
Buying designers won’t make you a fashionista. You might buy designers or brands and when you put them on......you might still look like someone putting on a garbage clothes

10.  DRESS ACCORDING TO YOUR BODY TYPE:-
This is the most important of it all......you should dress according to your body type. You can’t be thin or lean and be putting on oversize cloth or being thick and be putting on skinny clothes.

COLOURS TO FLATTER YOUR SKIN TONE

Colours that flatter your skin tone for men:

While I don’t believe in the whole “Blue is for boys and pink is for girls” nonsense, I do believe there are certain colours which look better on us depending on our skin tones. Some colours, that compliments us so well that it makes our face seem brighter and makes us look good even in the simplest everyday outfit.
Before buying anything you should be aware of the colours which look best on you according to your skin tone

WATCH OUT THE COLOURS THAT FLATTER YOUR TONE

Neutral Colours:- The colours that work for everybody are bright red, pale pink, dark purple

Light Skin Tone:- The colours that work for the light skin tone are blue, green, pink, purple.Keep black and white to a minimum use.

Dark Skin Tone:- People with a dark skin complexion really carry off shades like white,red,orange,pink....Gold also compliments your skin tone very well

Medium Skin Tone:-These are generally Mediterranean’s,people of the mixed race and the Latinos.Belive me,earth tones work for them.Go for brown, green, yellow along with grey.

SHADES OF A FASHIONISTER

                                             SHADES OF A FASHIONISTER

A male version of  a fashionista is called A FASHIONISTER. Forget about that,we ain't here for English language lessons or tutor.Fashionister's simply look at fashion as an Art,their bodies as the canvas, and the sense of style they develop along the way is simply the masterpiece.
Let me take you through the journey of the lifestyle of a fashionister which i represent in this context.Am not a trendy man.I just have an obsession for penchant shopping and a natural flair for combining both current and vintage fashionable trends.
I visualize how i want to look in my head and in the next ten minutes.....am in front of the mirror trying out clothes.Being a fashionister,i agree to paying lots of attention to my appearance and literally the obsession of a fashionister is to be the most well dressed man in a gathering with his natural flair ability to combine clothes.

In the above image,I was keen to dress up formal and look official.....i opt for my black jeans, white casual full sleeve shirt,my almighty jacket,my casual shoe and my christian Dior sunglasses to add to the formal look. The combination seems right like the jacket is just meant for formal wears and in another image, the jacket was opted for in the street fashion style

As shown in the above image,i dressed up in the street fashion elegance with my head bandana, white v-neck tshirt, black jeans, white shoe and of course my never do or die sunglasses.the ability to flair up different styles with a jacket explains what am really into

My favourite style is the monochrome fashion but i prefer to add some sauce to it.Monochrome fashion is all about white and black outfits and some can define it as a one way colour outfit, putting on a monochrome outfit will be too obvious and a little bit boring. So,i added a denim shirt to it to give my look a sparkling look.

DIARY OF A STYLISH MAN

                                          DIARY OF A STYLISH MAN
when being stylish is something you do effortlessly,it means you've reached a level of mastery. No man is born stylish,as with anything its what you become BUT the question is what are the habits stylish men adhere to?

1. THEY ARE CONFIDENT IN WHAT THEY WEAR

confidence is the key element to looking good.sure you may have just purchased a tailor made suit but how do you feel wearing it?
A stylish man never neglects comfort in return of looking good.if he doesn't feel comfortable in his clothes it will show.
He knows who he is,how he dresses and he's confident in whatever he wears

2.  EVERYTHING HE WEARS FITS

Fit is the number 1 fundamental to good style.no matter how much you spend on it will make you look good as a well fitted item of clothing
Am not talking just suiting either.A stylish man is a perfectionist in terms of the clothing they own, making sure the trouser break falls perfectly or the shirt cuffs end prescisely in the right position

3.HE KNOWS LESS IS MORE
theres nothing beneficial about a wardrobe filled with 100's of garments.less is more in the eyes of a stylish man.Dressing well is all about investing in quality over quantity and keeping things timeless allow you to get more from less

4. THEY ARE NOT OBSESSED WITH BRANDS
you will never see a stylish man head to toe in one brand, especially a brand the masses know about....recently,a guy walked up to me and said are you a brand ambassador to UCB(united colours of bennetton) cause i own four of UCB sneakers, have always thought people dn't know that brand.Sure,a stylish man may have a favourite brand they often use for essentials but its typically not one the masses know about.
Just because you went to the armani store and bought a tshirt for more than you typically pay doesn't make you a stylish man.

5. THEY NEVER BRAG ABOUT HOW GOOD THEY LOOK
Ever heard someone say "how good do i look in this shirt?"
A stylish man knows his place, hes confident in what he wears but he will never brag about how good he looks
they know their style is better than others but they never verbally express it.
      Theres no room for arrogance.

6. THEY ARE NOT AFRAID TO ACTUALLY SHOP
A stylish man is not afraid to invest money on well manufactured items.Grab your phone ,click a few buttons and you've just purchased some wears....sometimes my Queen and I argue about me wasting money for shopping and I be like baby i dn't have enough clothes and she gonna be like..."what?"

7. THEY HAVE A GROOMING ROUTINE
You could be the best dressed man in the room but if your hair is messy, your beard is ungroomed and you smell bad its going to have an impact on your overall appearance

DRESS UP FOR THE NEW SEASON

As we head into the season of parties, weddings, cocktail gatherings and holidays, the design team at Topshop knows only too well that everyone revels in the delight of a bold new dress, a touch of sparkle, that must-have accessory or some statement heels. This is about peeling off the winter layers and turning our thoughts to the uplifting tones and fabrics of spring, ensuring we have just the right mix of daytime classics and nighttime elegance in our fashion armoury, pieces that will carry us through to summer as well.
In the age of social media and a heightened enjoyment and awareness of our friends’ opinions and insight, what better way to gather inspiration than by sharing fashion ideas with friends, whether it’s in the Personal Styling suite at Topshop or in the comfort of your own home? What’s certain to prevail is individuality and an eclectic approach to each and every look that you and your friendly allies conjure up, whether you are the romantic dresser or the more classic purist type.

Floral, cinched, pared-down, A-line, full-length… The options are endless – and in full bloom in Topshop’s newest collection.

Experiment with pieces you’ve never thought of adopting, play with heel heights, try to build up a collection of failsafe day-to-night items. The denim jacket as a cover-up is a great example. Or the shoes you can actually wear all day long to carry you from office chic to off-duty down-time. Dresses are having a huge revival (did they ever really go away?). The team at Vogue have also noted them as a must-have piece for autumn/winter ’17, so if there’s one item to really embrace, this is it. Floral, cinched, pared-down, A-line, full-length… The options are endless – and in full bloom in Topshop’s newest collection.
Finally, if you really want to be bold then look to the shimmer and shine of the latest collections. Topshop has wholeheartedly embraced silky fabrics, metallics, sequins, studded leathers – there really is something shimmery for everyone, appealing to a whole spectrum of tastes and types. It’s not about head to toe, it’s about clever ways to pull together an item with key touches. “Eclectic” and “experimental” best sums it up.
So grab your greatest friends, turn on the music, preempt your spring-time schedule of special occasions and make some savvy style decisions. Topshop has always ensured it is one step ahead of our fashion wish-list, and this season – with its undisputed wealth of choice – you can be sure to find something to suit your style, budget and fashion yearnings
